This year the event is not a USFA sanctioned
tournament. It is limited to Ohio students in grades 9-12 with individual awards for the top fencer in each event.
Special High School Trophies are awarded
based on best overall team performance considering all three weapons and
the strength of each weapon/event. A
tournament format description is available.
Format is one round of
pools followed by direct elimination. Tournament organizers reserve the
right to promote only 80% of the pool round field to DE if necessary to keep
the event moving.
USFA or FIE membership is required. Membership applications will be accepted
at the tournament,
but the tournament will start sooner if you apply directly to USFA National before the event.
Print your receipt of application if you sign up on the web, which will
serve as your temporary membership card. If you plan to join at
the event, please download and fill out the form before you arrive at
the event. You must be 18 or older or have a parent or guardian sign the
application form to join USFA at the event. NO exceptions!
All events will be fenced with electric scoring equipment. All fencers must have two working weapons and two working body cords
at the strip. All masks must pass the USFA
punch test. Foil mask must include bib as target. Epee may not be fenced
with Sabre or Foil masks.
